This project is maintained by L2C1x1 fans for L2C1x1 fans. Many of us should have noticed that all the private servers where we used to play sooner or later get closed. This may be very upsetting, as playing on low-rates server, like x1, takes time.
The reasons why private servers live for a very limited period of time are a) too few people maintaining the project combined with b) very low online. These projects do not make money and exist till their admin has interest.
The goal of this project is to develop a new approach, to create a really long-term private server. The main idea is in accumulating people of interest, creating a community of L2C1x1 fans, sharing experience, knowledge about PTS server distributions, configurations, etc. in order to give everyone in the community an ability to help in the development of the project and, if necessary, administer it.

20 months and 20 days have passed since we launched this project on April 4, 2016.
About 1000 game accounts and more then 1100 player characters were created during this period of time. 1 ‐ 2 accounts and player characters are created every day.
Total use time (time players actively spent in the game) has exceeded 8 years.
235 million of adena has been farmed, total market capitalization of in-game values has reached 980 million adena.
Our team has already invested $ 50 000 value worth of their time into the project and this value continues to grow every day.
A lot of work has been done. To name just few things,

Unbelievable But True
One year has passed since we went online. We've started to work on the project on April 2, 2016 and after only two days of work managed to open it to the public. This happened on April 4, 2016.
We dedicate the launch of our facebook chatbot - Nyx to this great event. We go global!

Services v1.0 Released
We are glad to announce that after 3 months of work the first version of "Services" (v1.0) is released!

HTTPS Enabled
Starting July 10, 2016, both our domains l2c1x1.com and l2c1x1.org support HTTPS protocol.
Please make sure to use it instead of insecure HTTP when dealing with sensitive data, like user credentials.
In particular make sure to access both /911 and /services locations over HTTPS.

GM Days in July 2016: July 4-7, 2016
L2C1x1 fan-club is always looking for ppl to contribute into the project, in particular GMs. Did you ever think about an opportunity of participating in the project as a GM?
Then check this out!
During four days in July (July 4-7) you will have an ability to take a closer look at GMs work. During the period specified all already exisiting characters will become GMs, giving everyone an ability to try on the job of GM.
Technical information: PTS database will be backed up on the Monday morning, July 4. All characters will be marked as GMs immediately after backup. The database will be restored to its original (July 4) state on the Friday morning, July 8.

It is based on the official Chronicle 1 client for Windows with a few modifications/additions:
- Modified LineageII.exe Updater app, connected to update.l2c1x1.com update server, and to the news thread, so that you don't miss any client updates and news from us.
- Modified l2.ini, connected to login server l2auth.l2c1x1.com, and switched to window mode (Alt+Enter) instead of full screen mode.
- Modified Core.dll, which loads vista7.dll addon to fix the compatibility issue preventing the client to load on the newer versions of Windows (Vista and above).
- Official unmodified Chronicle 1 client for Windows can be found online, for example: You'll have to manually patch it to login via the l2auth.l2c1x1.com and keep up to date whenever L2C1x1 specific updates to the client are released.

macOS users can use WINEHQ to run Windows client.
When running with WINEHQ:
- You don't need modified Core.dll with injected vista7.dll addon. Use the original unmodified version of the Core.dll.
- Starting from macOS Catalina (10.15) Apple dropped support for 32-bit applications, meaning that 32-bit Homebrew Wine distribution won't work. You'll need to install 64-bit version. These instructions do work.

- Is this project for serious and for a long time? Can I invest my time in it safely?
- Definitely. We're targeting at least 10 years uptime for this project.
- I can see three game worlds. Which one do I chose to play?
- Choose the first one, Bartz aka Heaven. The second one (Sieghardt aka Hell) is extremely hard to play on. You may also try Kain aka Chaos, which is our test world, where everyone is a GM.
- How can I find who is online now?
- Use our Public API. You will find out who is online, and much much more.
- I would like to participate in project development. How can I join your team?
- Give us a note: l2c1x1fc@gmail.com. Download the server from our site, play with it, learn it.
- I would like to become a GM. Can I join your GM team?
- Definitely. Give us a note and we will schedule an online interview with you.
- Do you have an in-game shop or something?
- No, and we do not plan to open one. We do not summon items, even during events. That's a part of our philosophy.
- Do you accept donations?
- Donations are appreciated, but only in a classic meaning of this term. You won't get any in-game benefits.
- Am I allowed to modify my game client?
- But we kindly ask you not to use it for exploiting or botting (see Terms and Conditions).
- Am I allowed to use limitations of the NPCs AI?
- Yes (see Terms and Conditions).
- Am I allowed to run more then one client of the game?
- Sure. You may run as many clients as you wish. The number of accounts which you use simultaneously is not limited.
- Can I share my account with a friend?
- This is not regulated by our rules. We assume your friend is acting on your behalf in that case.
- Can I exchange in-game assets for non in-game assets?
- This is not regulated by our rules and we do not provide any service for that. Double check whom you’re trading with. If the in-game assets you’re buying weren't farmed, but obtained using exploits or bots (see Terms and Conditions) we reserve the right to confiscate such assets.
- Why are you so tolerant of automation software (bots)?
- Bots don't make an objective difference in a long run since they obey the game simulation. With the x1 rates and a very low online, bots help even those not using them by creating the economy backbone.
